Our Vision
We believe in the power of love, respect, and service. Our vision is to strengthen lives through safety, learning, healing, and opportunity. These are guided by the enduring foundations of faith and hope, and a heartfelt commitment to helping others flourish. Light Society currently operates a growing network of life-changing programs, including a children’s home, accredited school, hospital (opening soon), women’s shelter, feeding program for the elderly, and tailoring training for economic empowerment. Our vision for the future includes several new projects.
Who we serve
Light Society is committed to serving India’s most vulnerable and neglected populations, with a special focus on the Dalit community—those who have historically faced systemic poverty, discrimination, and social exclusion. Often referred to as the “untouchables” under India’s caste system, Dalits have long been denied access to basic human rights, education, healthcare, and economic opportunity. Many live in extreme poverty, struggling daily for dignity, safety, and a future for their families.
We Serve:
• Women escaping abuse, forced marriage, or human trafficking
• Elderly individuals who have been left without support
• Families living without access to education, healthcare, or employment
We see their worth. We honor their dignity. We help create paths to opportunity.
