A Life of Purpose Born from Poverty

Brother Elisha’s journey began in the depths of poverty. As a child, he experienced firsthand the pain of hunger, the sting of abandonment, and the weight of hopelessness. These early struggles left a lasting impression—shaping a heart full of empathy and a lifelong commitment to serve others who walk similar paths.

In 2006, driven by a deep desire to break the cycle of poverty, Elisha founded LIGHT Home—a safe haven for children who had been orphaned, abandoned, or neglected. It was more than just shelter. It was a place of healing, education, and new beginnings. For every child who entered, he offered not only food and care, but also understanding, mentorship, and the hope of a better future.

His journey wasn’t easy. He faced skepticism, financial challenges, and the lingering shadow of his past. But with unwavering determination and faith, he transformed his own hardship into a source of strength for others.

Today, LIGHT Home stands as a living testament to Brother Elisha’s vision and compassion. It’s a place where broken spirits are mended, where love replaces loneliness, and where futures are rewritten—one child at a time.

I know what it’s like to have nothing. That’s why I want to give everything I can to those who need it most
