The Heart of Promise Bags
Promise Bags was birthed from a dream to give holistic freedom to women trapped in caste-based discrimination, poverty, and hopelessness. Though outlawed, such discrimination remains widespread, stripping away dignity and opportunity. We are here to change that story.
At Promise Bags, women from the Dalit community – once called “Untouchables” – are now creating world-class leather bags while building brighter futures for their families. Each stitch represents dignity restored, poverty broken, and hope renewed.

$ 10 from sale of each bag goes to the LIGHT Society – supporting orphans, school, hospital, and food programs for the poor.
