A Safe Place to Grow

At LIGHT Home, we believe every child deserves a safe, caring, and supportive place to call home. Our Boys Accommodation provides a secure environment where boys can live, study, grow, and prepare for a better future.

Today, 45 boys are part of our care. We are committed to providing them with food, accommodation, food, education, protection, guidance, life skills, and the encouragement they need to become confident and responsible young men.

A New Requirement. A Critical Responsibility.

Government Child Welfare regulations require boys and girls, particularly teenage children, to live in separate residential buildings. This is an important child-safety and protection requirement, and LIGHT Home is committed to meeting it.

Providing separate accommodation is essential to protecting their present and securing their future.

Building a Separate Home for Boys

To meet the new requirement, we are working toward developing a separate residential facility for boys, with capacity for up to 60 children.

Once completed, the new facility will provide the boys with a safe and appropriate place to live, while our existing children’s home can be dedicated to the girls.

The estimated cost of completing the new boys’ residential facility is approximately $250,000.

We have already begun taking steps toward construction and are working to make meaningful progress as quickly as possible.

More Than a Building

A home is much more than walls and a roof. It is where children feel safe, supported, encouraged, and valued.

The new Boys Accommodation will provide space for the boys to:

• Live in a safe and secure environment

• Continue their education

• Develop life and practical skills

• Receive guidance and support

• Build confidence and responsibility

• Grow in a stable and caring environment

• Prepare for higher education, employment, and independent adulthood

45 Boys. One Future.

Every boy deserves a safe place to live, an opportunity to receive an education, and the chance to discover his potential.

We are committed to building a safe and sustainable future for the 45 boys in our care one that gives them the stability, dignity, and opportunities they deserve.
